CAPCIL Small Business Coalition
hosts Spring vendor show
[April 14, 2026]
On Saturday, April 11, the
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) Community
Service Block Grant (CSBG) Small Business Coalition hosted its
Spring Vendor Show at the Lincoln Park District. The first booth was
Joyce Westen of Emden. She was selling her rag rugs in a variety of
colors. Some were very eye-catching with vibrant reds, yellows, and
pinks. She also had table runners available. The room was full of
vendors and shoppers. The booths were filled with treats, skincare,
makeup, gifts, books, keychains, bookmarks, and health and wellness
information.
Shannon McCray, owner of Elation
Bath and Body, provided samples of their sugar scrubs and explained
the ingredients and how to use the scrubs. Many shoppers enjoyed the
fragrances of the scrubs. Kathy’s Country Crafts offered a wide
range of gifts and crafts. Deanne Cooper assisted customers in
selecting the right makeup and Lime Life skincare products. Giggles
and Gab had an assortment of gift baskets, sewing kits, games, and
bracelet kits, each with a unique theme.

Tedrick’s Treasures were on hand
for Pick a Print sweatshirts and t-shirts. They had several books of
all the possible designs that customers could choose from, and they
would press them while they shopped at other booths. Handmade Knots
by Rachel offered keychains, bookmarks, earrings, magnets, and other
handmade items. Kindred Crafts had a variety of uniquely decorated
ink pens, badge reels, keychains, and purse charms. They also had a
selection of permanent jewelry, crocheted items, stickers, and a
large selection of “Blind Date with a Book”.

Dr. Kimberly Martin was there
promoting her practice, MTM Wellness, out of Mt. Pulaski. Her
practice is a Christian-based, integrative health service. Through
her practice, she helps her patients find the root cause of their
illness and guides them on a non-traditional healing journey. All
her work is done in memory of her son Mikah Thomas Martin.

Ashlyn’s Diamond Designs sparkled
with their wide array of diamond art. They offered keychains,
ornaments, jewelry cases, tea towels, and magnets decorated with
themes, holidays, sports, patriotic designs, and more.
Jeff’s Laser Engraving offered a
range of items for engraving. He had an engraved mirror, hanging art
such as hearts and crosses, earrings, and keychains. King’s
Kreations sold home and garden décor. They had several colorful
garden stakes. They also had handmade baskets.

Shellz Suds of Lincoln had soap
made from goat’s milk. They had a variety of scents and colors. The
soap is made to be gentle on the skin and provides moisture, as well
as nourishing vitamins and fats that support the skin. The Tattered
Wren by Lisa Rohlfs offered more bookmarks, bag charms, and book
sleeves. Marci L.C. D’Andrea from Living Hope Wellness Coaching &
Nutrition was giving away a 30-minute Health Coaching Session to one
lucky winner. Like MTM Wellness, Marci offers Christian-based health
and wellness. She has a workbook focused on Biblical strategies for
women’s health. Goodies, like iced sugar cookies, chocolate chip
cookies, and mini cakes from Missy’s Sweet Shoppe were going
quickly.
Outside, the Daily Wrap food truck was serving lunch. They offer
wraps for breakfast, lunch, and dinner around Central Illinois.
Their menu featured several wraps: turkey club, crispy chicken,
spicy Italian, and more. They also offer sides like churro bites and
funnel cake fries.
