Senator Sally Turner relaunches
Valentines for Seniors card drive

Springfield, IL – State Senator
Sally Turner (R Beason), along with State Representative Bill Hauter
(R-Morton), is inviting residents across the district to help spread
kindness this Valentine’s Day by participating in their Valentines
for Seniors Card Drive.
The initiative encourages individuals, families, classrooms,
churches, and community groups to create Valentine’s Day cards that
will be delivered to local seniors, including those living in
nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
“Our seniors should never feel forgotten,” said Senator Sall Turner.
“A simple Valentine can brighten someone’s day and remind them that
their community truly cares. This card drive is a wonderful way for
people of all ages to show appreciation and compassion.”
Valentine’s Day cards can be dropped off or mailed by February 6 to
either of the following legislative offices:
Lincoln District Office
120 S. McLean Street, Suite E

Drop off hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Morton District Office
133 S. Main Street, Suite A
Morton, IL 61550
Drop off hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

When dropping off
a Valentines, participants are asked to place the Valentines
with a name and contact email or address in the marked mailbox
inside each office. A small mailbox is also available outside
each office for after-hours drop offs.
“Even the smallest gesture can have a big impact,” continued
Senator Sally Turner. “I encourage families, schools, and
community groups to take part and help us make Valentine’s Day
special for local seniors.”
