Senator Sally Turner relaunches Valentines for Seniors card drive

[January 16, 2026]  Springfield, IL – State Senator Sally Turner (R Beason), along with State Representative Bill Hauter (R-Morton), is inviting residents across the district to help spread kindness this Valentine’s Day by participating in their Valentines for Seniors Card Drive.

The initiative encourages individuals, families, classrooms, churches, and community groups to create Valentine’s Day cards that will be delivered to local seniors, including those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

“Our seniors should never feel forgotten,” said Senator Sall Turner. “A simple Valentine can brighten someone’s day and remind them that their community truly cares. This card drive is a wonderful way for people of all ages to show appreciation and compassion.”
