Tremont Street Reconstruction Project to get underway
[August 12, 2026]
Beginning Thursday, August 13,
2026, traffic control devices will begin to be placed along Tremont
Street and adjacent streets from Union Street to Logan Street.
The first phase of the project will be tree removal and will begin
on Monday, August 17, 2026. There will be temporary no parking signs
placed and daily street closures will take place as needed to allow
for the tree removal. Soon after this work, contractors will begin
removing storm sewers along with curb, sidewalk and pavement.
