Emden Sons of the American Legion
hold pancake and sausage breakfast

Sunday, March 1, the Emden Sons
of the American Legion held their annual pancake and sausage
breakfast at the Emden Community House.
Throughout the morning and early
afternoon, a steady stream of people came in before and after their
church services. By 10 a.m., over 100 had come through the line and
before it ended at 1 p.m., the number was much higher.
The Sons of the American Legion
host the donation only breakfast to raise funds for scholarships and
other community events.

Every year, the
SAL members choose two scholarship winners from the group of
Hartsburg Emden High School applicants. At graduation in May,
two seniors will be awarded these scholarships.
It was a nice day to enjoy a delicious breakfast while raising
money for a good cause.
