Under the Sea Family Fun Day at Lincoln Park District

[July 14, 2026]  A cloudy, cool morning cleared off into a perfect afternoon for a swim at the Lincoln Park District Aquatic Center for the second Family Fun Day of the summer on Saturday, July 11. An “Under the Sea” theme with decorations, photo opportunities, and games kept kids and families entertained, and Evergreen Coffee trailer was on hand with refreshing drinks.

Lifeguard Lily Block said, “It has been a great day! It started off gloomy and we closed for thunder for about half an hour, but it brightened up. We have a lot of new people that we haven’t seen before. It’s been a good, busy, bright, fun day.”

Admission to Family Fun Day is a nonperishable, non-expired item for the Lincoln-Logan Food Pantry. Regular pool admission and pool passes are also accepted on Family Fun Days.

Family Fun Day themes are chosen at the end of each summer by the lifeguards who brainstorm new theme ideas and then vote on their favorites. The top three become the Family Fun Day themes for the following summer. Family Fun Day was moved from Fridays to Saturdays this summer so more families could participate.
