Lincoln Park District Announces Board Vacancies

[September 15, 2026]  The Lincoln Park District is seeking community members interested in serving on the Park District Board of Commissioners.

Two seats on the five-member Board will be open for election in April 2027. In addition, one seat will become vacant in November 2026 following the early departure of a current commissioner due to a post-retirement move. The Park District is currently seeking an individual to fill the remainder of that term.

Serving on the Park Board provides an opportunity to help guide the future of local parks and recreation, support programs for youth, families and the community, and help make decisions regarding facilities, programs and improvements.

Board members attend monthly meetings held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. and work with fellow community members to strengthen the Park District and its mission.

Those interested in being considered for the upcoming appointment are encouraged to complete an interest form online or in person by September 25, 2026. Interviews for potential board members will be held during the first week of October.
