Central Illinois’ Onward Injury
Law is the only law firm in Illinois named to Inc.’s 2026 Best
Workplaces List

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., June 2026 —
Onward Injury Law, a personal injury firm based in Bloomington, has
been named to Inc. Magazine’s 2026 Best Workplaces list—and they’re
the only law firm in the entire state of Illinois to earn the
distinction.
Of the 31 Illinois companies recognized on the national list of 507
honorees, Onward Injury Law posted an employee engagement score of
97.05—ranking second highest among all Illinois companies and ahead
of organizations with hundreds more employees. It’s a remarkable
result for a small firm, and one that reflects something the team
has been quietly building since day one.

Illinois placed 31 companies on the
2026 list—just over 6% of all honorees nationally, according to the
State Journal-Register, which first reported on the Illinois
results. The majority of Illinois companies recognized are based in
the Chicago area. Onward Injury Law is one of only a handful of
downstate businesses on the list, and the only one representing the
legal industry anywhere in Illinois.
The recognition isn’t self-reported or application-based alone.
Companies are evaluated through a rigorous employee survey conducted
by Quantum Workplace, covering management effectiveness,
professional development, culture, and benefits. Employees must
independently corroborate their employer’s claims—rating their pay,
leadership, and work environment on a six-point scale. The result is
a score that reflects what employees actually experience, not what
companies say about themselves.
