Soap Box Derby a big draw at the Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival

[September 15, 2026]  Once again this year, the Vinegar Hill Racers LLC offered up a big portion of the Saturday entertainment at the Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival.

This year there were some familiar names in the winner’s circles.

In the 7-9 Stock, Emma Neaville of Mt. Pulaski took first place for the second year and also took first in the 7-9 Super Stock.

Miles Klein was the first-place winner in 2025 Super Stock, but this year advanced into a new age group. In the 10+ Super Stock, he came in with another first-place finish. Tayte advanced in class going from a second-place finisher in the 2025 7-9 Stock class to a first-place finisher in the 2026 10+ Stock. Tayte also took second place this year in the 10+ Super Stock. Finley McCain was a second-place finisher in the 2025 7-9 Super stock and finished third in the 2026 10+Stock.

In 2025 Brant Larson took second place in the 10+ Stock and this year he once again finished second in that class. Miles Klein advanced to the 10+ Super stock this year and finished first. Last year he was in the younger Super Stock class and finished first. And finally, Dixie Holzwarth competed both years in the 10+ Super stock, finishing first in 2025 and third in 2026.

2nd Place Grady Cowan of Mt. Pulaski
3rd Place Briar Erlenbush of Mt. Pulaski

7-9 Super Stock
1st Place Emma Neaville of Mt. Pulaski
2nd Place Grayson Klein of Mt. Zion
3rd Place Blake Lee of Mt. Pulaski
