Saturday at the Mt. Pulaski Fall
Festival

The 2026 Mt. Pulaski Fall
Festival parade Saturday, September 12, had the theme 50 years on
the hill.
Mt. Pulaski Police Chief Tony West
led the parade followed by the American Legion flag float decorated
for the nation’s 250th. The crowd stood as students from Mt.
Pulaski’s Zion Lutheran School sang the National Anthem. Logan
County Shriners were the flag holders.
First responders in the parade included Mt. Pulaski EMS and fire
departments from Mt. Pulaski, Chestnut and Latham
Mt. Pulaski High School cheerleaders, Unity football players, the
junior high baseball team, and Dirtbag baseball team represented the
school sports. Mt. Pulaski education and FFA also represented the
school.
Elected officials included Mt.
Pulaski Mayor Matt Bobell, Logan County Coroner Don Peasley, Logan
County Board District three representative Kevin Knauer and Board
Chairman Lance Conahan.
Parade entrants running in November’s election are County Board
candidates Mary Conrady, Cindy Gleason and Ryan Coughlin, Logan
County Clerk and Recorder candidate Kate Wright and County Sheriff
candidate Josh Pharis.
Other entries included businesses like the bank, Topper Carwash and
Vonderleith Living Center, Topper’s Storage plus organizations such
as the Salvation Army 365 and Mt. Pulaski Boy Scout troop 122.
Additional entrants were Mt.
Pulaski road district, Logan County Health Department, Moochelle’s
day care, the Chandler family, Vinegar Hill Racers, the bubble bus
and the Mt. Pulaski theme float winner.
Royalty included 2026 Little Miss Mt. Pulaski Isla Leinweber and
Junior Miss Mt. Pulaski Luci Bobell and 2026 Logan County Little
Miss Falyn Farmer and Junior Miss Finley Farmer.

Music from the talented Mt. Pulaski
High School band and Jacksonville Drumline Institute could be heard
along the parade route.
The parade was just one of many
activities Saturday at the fall festival. Upper Limits rock climbing
wall, bouncy houses, a dunk tank, Ritchhart’s petting zoo, face
painting by the zoo lady, balloon creations by Aaron and Bingo
provided fun for families.
Hungry and thirsty festival goers
could order food and drinks from several food vendors. The Hilltop
Club provided a ribeye sandwich meal. Other vendors sold a variety
of items.
Musical entertainment was provided by the bands Diletta in the
afternoon and Too Hype Crew in the evening.
Saturday was a great day to enjoy all the activities at the 2026 Mt.
Pulaski Fall Festival.
