Stretch your food budget at The
LMH Market through SNAP matching
[August 12, 2026]
LINCOLN — The LMH Market is
reminding community members that its SNAP Matching Program is
available every market weekend, making it easier for families to
stretch their food dollars while shopping locally.
Offered since the market opened in 2016, the program allows shoppers
using SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits to
receive matching dollars to purchase SNAP-eligible foods from
participating vendors. Every third Saturday of the month is Triple
Match Day, when shoppers receive an even larger match to maximize
their purchasing power.
"We want everyone in our community to know that healthy, locally
grown food can be affordable," said Jamie Jones, farmers market
coordinator for The LMH Market. "Our SNAP Matching Program helps
families get more for their money while supporting local farmers and
food vendors. We encourage anyone who receives SNAP benefits to stop
by the market and take advantage of this opportunity."
