Women for Women Expands
Grantmaking to $67,000, Reaches New Nonprofits

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Women for
Women, a local giving circle dedicated to engaging women of all
generations in the power of community philanthropy, has announced
$67,000 in new grants for 2025 – the largest total in its 17-year
history. This year’s funding supports two local nonprofits receiving
Women for Women grants for the first time.
2025 Grant Recipients:
Regional Housing and Supportive Services - $30,000
To support Hope on Fifth, a project in Lincoln, IL that provides
shelter and supportive services to veterans, individuals and
families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless to help them
become self-sufficient and transitioned into permanent housing.
Table of Life Ministry - $37,000
To support the Hope of Life Outreach Project, which aims to reduce
food insecurity and improve the quality of life for women and
children in Springfield, IL.
This year’s awards bring cumulative grantmaking by the group to more
than $680,000 since its inception in 2006.
“These grants reflect Women for Women’s commitment to expanding
opportunity for women across our community,” said Community
Foundation for the Land of Lincoln Chief Program Officer Stacy Reed.
“We’re thrilled to support two new organizations doing critical work
to help women and families thrive.”

Women for Women is
a special initiative at the Community Foundation and aims to
help members “build a legacy together” by pooling their annual
contributions and creating a permanent resource for local
programs that support women and children. Women for Women
Steering Committee members are Pamela Frazier, Mary Beaumont,
Katherine Cadagin, Patti Camille, Kate Dunne, Sammi Mander,
Melissa Skinner-Liberman, and Lisa Wichterman.
The Community Foundation encourages local charities to watch its
website – CFLL.org – and sign up
to receive alerts when other funding opportunities are available
throughout the year.
Through philanthropic services, strategic grantmaking and
community leadership, the Community Foundation for the Land of
Lincoln “connects people who care with causes that matter.”
