Lincoln Emblem Club announces 2026 scholarship winners

[May 18, 2026]  The Lincoln Emblem Club has announced its 2026 scholarship winners. Scholarship applicants are members or relatives of members of the Emblem Club. Top candidates also compete at the state WIIM State Association and Supreme National levels for additional awards.

Avery Davenport of Lincoln, grandniece of Emblem Club member Lori Bottrell, will compete for a Supreme National scholarship. She is the daughter of Joshua and Emilia Davenport. Avery is a graduate of Lincoln Community High School with a 4.0 GPA and graduated fourth in her class. She is deciding between attending University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Tennessee, or Iowa State University where she will pursue studies in Kinesiology.

Diane Spellman of Tempe, granddaughter of Emblem Club member Karen Dellow, will receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Lincoln Emblem Club. Diane is the daughter of Charles and Brandi Spellman. This scholarship is awarded in honor of Lee Rust, a longtime supporter of the Lincoln Emblem Club Scholarship program. Diane attended Corona del Sol High School and graduates in the top ten percent of her class. Diane plans to study Political Science and is considering attending Texas Tech University, Texas A&M University, University of Iowa, or Pennsylvania State University.

Alaina Bauer of Lincoln, granddaughter of Emblem Club member Mary Williams, will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Alaina is the daughter of Todd and Michelle Bauer. Her scholarship is awarded in honor of Emblem Club member Diane Farmer. Alaina will attend University of Nebraska–Lincoln to study Entertainment Design and Production. She graduates as one of the top 10 students at Lincoln Community High School.

Molly Johnson of Sikeston is a returning scholarship recipient. Molly is the daughter of Richard and Jennifer Johnson. She is the granddaughter of Emblem Club member Holly Woodhall, and her mother is also an Emblem Club member. Molly received a $1,000 scholarship as she continues studying Communication Disorders and Speech-Language Pathology at Southeast Missouri State University.

Erin Peterson of Sherman is also a returning scholarship recipient. Erin is the daughter of Brittany and David Peterson. She is the granddaughter of Emblem Club member Mitzie Welsh, and her mother is also an Emblem Club member. Erin received a $1,000 scholarship to support her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Animation at Kansas City Art Institute.

All of our scholarship winners excel in community service, leadership, and work ethic. We are proud of these individuals and the effort they have put into their education.
