Elkhart Village Christmas Open House held Saturday

[November 24, 2025]  On Saturday, November 22nd, the Village of Elkhart held an open house for its downtown businesses. These businesses had placed Christmas decorations outside and inside their stores, and some were playing Christmas music. A number of the businesses were offering hot apple cider and cookies for free to customers. Several people from Needs and Goals were going around and adding fresh evergreen branches and decorations to the plant pots outside the businesses.

The Route 66 Model Raceway was open, with several people shopping around inside. The Country Bumpkin also had several people shopping, and the owners were offering cider and cookies to their shoppers with a smile.

Birdsong Books and Vintage was also bustling with shoppers. They had many wonderful Christmas decorations from the front to the back of their store. The Elkhart Station had Christmas decorations and several Christmas themed items for sale. The Talk of the Town was open for business, with their plant pots being one of the first ones redecorated.

Horsefeathers had decorated their hanging lights and doorways with Christmas string lights. Many people were coming in to get a seat at The Wild Hare Cafe. The library was also open down the street, and had just finished decorating for the fall and Christmas season.

While it was a bit chilly, the weather did not keep people from attending. Most of the parking spots on the street were taken by shoppers looking for a good time and good food.
