Friday night at the Atlanta Fall
Festival

Many people were out enjoying
the slightly cooler weather Friday evening at the 76th Atlanta Fall
Festival.
Atlanta's park was filled with children enjoying rides like the
spinning hearts, rock-a-plane, Ferris wheel, kiddie cars and
Adventureland. A few were climbing on the playground equipment.
Several were playing games such as
ring toss, cork shooting, boxing, a game of skill played with
quarters and the claw machine. Near the pavilion, some were playing
the ever popular Bingo game.
The Atlanta Fire Department was serving pork chops, baked potatoes
and beans. Desserts were provided by the recently opened Atlanta
restaurant Jeans on 66.
In addition, food trucks were set up selling festival fare that
included corndogs, popcorn and fries. Sweet treats included elephant
ears, funnel cakes, cotton candy and ice cream.
To quench people’s thirst, local
4-Hers were selling soda and water. The Spartan Sips for St. Jude
was selling a variety of dirty sodas to raise funds for the St. Jude
run.
Under the pavilion, vendors were selling items such as jewelry,
customized shirts and hats, books, crocheted animals and plants,
tumblers, and fall décor.
Other tables under the pavilion had Bossy Bingo Square sales, 50-50
and merchant drawing sales and bucket chance raffle ticket sales.
The raffle baskets were filled with items donated by businesses and
individuals.

Holly from the Farm face
painting and henna booth had kids lined up to get one of the
cool designs.
In the middle of the park, people could pose for photos behind
either a small cutout of the hotdog guy, Lumi the pie gal or the
Texaco Big Friend.
Music by the BloNo Boogie Band
entertained people from 6 to 9 p.m. One little boy enjoyed dancing
along with the music.
It was a great night for people to be out enjoying fall festival fun
and visiting with friends and family.
