Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on
8/13/2026 in Logan County

Logan County Coroner’s Office
and Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal head on
collision that occurred on US Route 66 and 1500th Avenue near
Lincoln. The driver of one vehicle was a 54 year old male from
Saybrook, Illinois who was pronounced deceased at the Lincoln
Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. The other driver was transported
to an area hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Autopsy is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026 at the McLean
County Regional Medical Facility.
Name of the 54 year old male is being with held until next of kin
are notified.
