Stags win 7th grade regional championship

[March 06, 2026]  The Hartsburg-Emden Stags defeated East Peoria Robein in three thrilling sets on Wednesday night to win the IESA Class 1A 7th Grade regional title at Blessed Sacrament.
 
After losing the first set 17-25 the Stags bounced back to win 25-20 and 25-16.
 
Piper Leesman led the Stags with 14 kills.

Lila Cross added 12 kills and 9 assists.

Eisley Moos led the team with 10 assists.

Kacie Hardy led the Stags with 11 digs.

Piper Leesman won the Sportsmanship Award.

The Stags recorded improves to 17-7.

Hartsburg-Emden will play for a sectional championship on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in Hartsburg.
