Chester East-Lincoln wins regional championship

[November 26, 2025]  The Chester East-Lincoln Panthers defeated Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes 31-22 on Tuesday night to win the 2025 Class 7-2A Regional Championship.

Kamila Leon led the Panthers with nine points.

Luci Gallagher was presented the IESA Sportsmanship award following the win.

The Panthers are coached by Josh Gallagher and Tiffany Winebrinner.

It’s been a while since the Panthers have won a girls basketball regional championship. After some digging, it appears the 8th grade team in 2007-08 may have been the last girls regional championship team.
