- Gayla Rose, 64, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Wednesday,
December 10, 2025, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service and burial of Gayla’s ashes will
take place at a later date.

Obituary
Gayla Rose, 64, of
Lincoln, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 10,
2025, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Gayla was born on March 25, 1961, in Mt. Pleasant,
Iowa, the daughter of Bobbie and Louella (Greene)
Rose.
Gayla is survived by her brother, James Rose; her
aunt, Shirley Rose; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her
beloved pets.
Gayla worked for the State of Illinois at three
developmental centers Galesburg, Lincoln, and
retired from Jacksonville Developmental Center.
Gayla loved her family, especially the trips she
made to see her family in Florida. |
A memorial service and
burial of Gayla’s ashes will take place at a later
date. Memorial donations may be made in Gayla’s name
to The Humane Society of Logan County. Cremation
rites have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
