Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. with
recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 pm at the Dougherty
Funeral Home of Hibbing.
The visitation will then continue
from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral Mass at the
church on Monday.

Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing, MN.

Obituary
Mary F. Bischoff, 79, longtime
resident of Hibbing, MN passed away Tuesday,
December 9, 2025, at Essentia Virginia Regional
Medical Center in Virginia, MN.
Mary was born on March 16, 1946, to
Edward and Harriett (Johnson) Jodlowski in Lincoln,
IL. She was a 1964 graduate of the Atlanta, IL High
School in Atlanta, IL.
Mary spent her earlier years in
Crawfordsville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati, before
making her way to Hibbing, MN. She entered the
Sacrament of Marriage with William B. Bischoff on
November 23, 1984.
Mary went on to hold various
employments. Most notably, was her career in sales
with the Hibbing Daily Tribune in Hibbing. In her
retirement, she was also known for working with
I.S.D 701 as a Paraprofessional.
Mary was an active member of the
Hibbing and surrounding communities. She was a
member of the Hibbing Chamber of Commerce, a former
member of the Ladies of the Moose, and was an active
church member including president of the CCW,
Hibbing Rotary Club, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post
8510 of Hibbing.
She was an accomplished bowler being
inducted in 2007 into the Minnesota Bowling Hall of
Fame, as well as numerous years as a state and
national bowling delegate. She was also an avid
Minnesota Vikings fan, but due to family pressure,
she also rooted for the Chicago Bears and Buffalo
Bills. She enjoyed spending quality time with her
many friends and developed a huge support group
around the Hibbing area.
She is survived by her brother, Byron Jodlowski,
Atlanta, IL, nephew, Edward (Colleen) Jodlowski,
Atlanta, IL, step-grandsons, Hunter and Maxwell
Bischoff, Buffalo, NY, beloved cousin, Jolene (Jim)
Hess, Hibbing, MN, her great-nephews, Cameron
(Katherine) Jodlowski, Clinton, WI, Evan (Molly)
Jodlowski, Danvers, IL, Kenyon (Alison) Jodlowski,
Belleville, IL, and Griffen Jodlowski, Memphis, TN,
special great-nephew, Zakkary (Toni) Bandemer, along
with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her
husband, William B. Bischoff, parents, Edward and
Harriet (Johnson) Jodlowski, stepson, Paul Bischoff,
and her sister-in-law, Alice Jodlowski.
Funeral services for Mary will be 11:00 am, Monday,
December 15, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic
Church in Hibbing, MN. The Rev. Fr. Daniel Weiske
will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Sunday, December 14,

Spring interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery
of Hibbing.
