Obituary
Susan Patricia Waller, 74, of
Lincoln, Illinois, left this earth to be with Jesus
on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Sue was born on July 29, 1951, in Round Lake,
Illinois.
She was a life-long student, first earning her
Business Certificate from Richland Community College
in 1984, and completing her Master’s Degree in
Counseling at University of Illinois, Springfield in
2006.
Sue's deep compassion for others was apparent in her
chosen path of education, as well as her everyday
life. For decades, Sue was a humble and generous
friend, "adopted" daughter, and caretaker for
countless church family members and friends. Her
life was genuinely faith in action, and her deepest
passion was to share the unfailing love of Jesus
with others.
She was a licensed minister with The Church of God,
a Sunday School Teacher, lay minister, and church
van driver.
She was a deeply loving and generous
Mom to her daughters and enjoyed the life of being
"Gammy" to her grandkids to the fullest. |

Sue was married to her love and
tireless caregiver, Martin Waller, for 28 years, and
told everyone she talked to what a loving and
sacrificial husband and caregiver he was.
Susan is survived by her husband, Martin, of
Lincoln, Illinois; daughters, Tina Lei Bauman of
Roseville, California and Holly Rogers of McLean,
Illinois; granddaughters, Lana Cannon and Ashley
Nalley; and four loving big brothers who loved and
cared for her greatly.
Funeral services for Susan will be held at 5:00 pm
on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior from 4:00
- 5:00 pm, also at the funeral home. A burial will
be held at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.
