Obituary
Sara Lynn Moore, 69,
of Lincoln, entered into eternal rest on Monday,
September 21, 2026, at the Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Born on May 30, 1957, in Eldorado, Illinois, to
Leslie Wilson and Martha Colleen Prehara Moore, Sara
lived a life defined by her family and her vibrant
spirit. She was a pillar of strength for her
children and a source of joy for her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. A true animal lover, Sara
found great happiness in the company of her pets,
and she was also a passionate collector of M&M's
collectibles—a hobby that brought a smile to those
who knew her.
Her legacy lives on through her children, Kurt
(April) Young, Adam Young, and Correna Harmon; her
longtime companion, Dan Gosda; and her sister, Jean
Brockschmidt. She will be deeply missed by her five
grandchildren—Christopher (Jess) McCawley, Randi
McCawley, Bryan McCawley, Hayle (Fred Shaub)
McCawley, and Freedom Marie Young—and her eight
beloved great-grandchildren: Trinity, Dalya, Prezlee,
Raelee, Vivian, Silas, Esmerelda, and Elena.

Sara was preceded in
death by her parents and her siblings: Mike, Kenney,
Wayne, Denny, Terry, Margie, and Anita Moore.
Family and friends are
invited to celebrate Sara’s life on Friday,
September 25, 2026. Visitation will be held from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Peasley Funeral Home,
with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m.
Pastor Larry Crawford will officiate. Burial will
take place at Zion Cemetery.
To honor Sara's love for animals, the family
requests that donations be made to the Humane
Society of Logan County. Arrangements are under the
care of Peasley Funeral Home.
