Obituary
Darrell Roger Osborn, 84, of
Hartsburg, IL, passed away on Thursday, September
18, 2025, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in
Peoria.
Darrell was born on December 21, 1941, in Lincoln,
IL, the son of George and Margaret A. (Harmsen)
Osborn. He married Brenda Williams on January 19,
1979, in Emden. She survives.
Darrell is also survived by his children, Jason
(Dawn) Osborn and Heather Osborn; daughter-in-law,
Stellakay Osborn; grandchildren, Claire and Trent
Osborn; great-grandchildren, Kameron Gilliam and
Leiloni Johnson; his brother, Glenn (Diane) Osborn;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister,
Darla Runyon; and son, Chad Osborn.
Darrell was a lifelong farmer,
continuing the family legacy as the 4th generation
to farm their land. He was a proud St. Louis
Cardinals fan, enjoying watching and listening to
games on the radio. Most of all, he loved spending
time at home with his wife and family. |
Funeral services for Darrell will be
held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 26, 2025, at
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Emden. Visitation
will take place from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday,
September 25, 2025, also at the church. Burial will
follow the service at Hartsburg Union Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Darrell’s name to the
Hartsburg Rural Fire Protection District.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
