A celebration of Cherri’s life will be held at the
Fellowship & Community Center (FCC) in Elkhart on
Saturday, September 6th, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00pm.

Obituary
Cherri L. Reeley, 70, of Elkhart
passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St.
Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL.
Cherri was born on May 7, 1955, in Champaign, IL,
the daughter of Max and Betty (Hoshauer) Vaughn. She
married Les Reeley on July 31, 1976, in Champaign,
IL, he survives.
Cherri is also survived by her children, Samuel
Scott (Heather) Reeley of Champaign and Hallie
Reeley of Champaign; her father, Max Vaughn; her
grandchildren, Hudson and Hadley; and her siblings,
Vicki (Dan) Becker of Lexington, KY, and Richard
(Julie) Vaughn of Rantoul, IL.
Cherri was preceded in death by her mother, Betty. |
To say that Cherri was “Crafty” would
be an understatement; she mastered the arts of
painting, sewing, knitting, crochet, cross stitch,
and quilting. She took pride in her work and would
often donate her creations to friends and relatives.
A celebration of Cherri’s life will be held at the
Fellowship & Community Center (FCC) in Elkhart on
Saturday, September 6th, 2025 from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL.
