Obituary
Gus Franklin Brown,
74, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Thursday, August
12, 2026, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
Gus was born March 27, 1952, the son of Marvin and
Sarah (Landers) Brown.
Gus is survived by his children, Gina (Chris)
Welchel, Jonathan (Samantha) Brown; daughter-in-law,
Sarah Brown; seventeen grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jason
and Jeremy Brown; granddaughter, Mackenzy; and
great-grandson, Huxton.

Funeral services for
Gus will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, August
26, 2026, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Visitation will take place the night prior
on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm,
also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the
service at Harmony Cemetery in Beason, IL. Memorials
may be made in Gus’ name to his family, in ℅ Gina
Welchel.
