[August 25, 2025]  LINCOLN -  Carolyn Sue Veronesi, 80, of Lincoln, passed away August 21, 2025, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.

Visitation: Monday, August 25, 2025, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Service: Monday, August 25, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Carolyn Sue Veronesi, 80, of Lincoln, passed away August 21, 2025, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.
 
Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Monday, August 25, 2025, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3PM. Cremation rites will then be accorded. There will be no burial.

Carolyn was born June 25, 1945, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Lloyd Payne and Anna (French). She worked for Rockwell Automation in Centralia, IL. for many years and then retired from Lincoln Developmental Center. Carolyn enjoyed fishing, yard work and flowers, Nascar, her dog Chester. She loved her grandchildren most of all and was a wonderful Mom and Granny.

Survivors include her children: Kimberly Veronesi Barnes, Bryan and Charlotte Veronesi, Callie Veronesi, and Mindy Veronesi Skelton; grandchildren: Brian and Omar Veronesi, Briann Edwards, Kyle and Mallory Edwards, Jarid Veronesi, Amber Haak, Kimberly Duncan, and Tony Skelton; great grandchildren: Andrew Boice, Carter Dunham, Cale Edwards, Braidon White, and Kayden Hackett, sister Mary Barringer also survives.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Darrell Payne, Delmar Payne, Charlotte Bohn, Leon Payne, John Payne, and Marilyn Payne.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home
