Obituary
Sharon Carlin, 82, of
Pekin passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at
Paisley Manor in Pekin, IL.
Sharon was born on December 27, 1943, in Pekin, IL,
the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Powers)
Guengerich.
Sharon is survived by her children, Brian Carlin,
Aaron (Michelle) Carlin, and Teresa (Michael)
Robbins; her brother, Mike (Brenda) Guengerich; her
grandchildren, Brittany (Doug) Welk, Brooklyn (Jaron)
Harnacke, Brighton (Bailey) Larson, Kaleena Hooper,
Lucas Carlin, Hutson Carlin, and Joel Carlin; her
great-grandchildren, Mykah Welk, Jaxon Welk,
Brantley Harnacke, and Hendricks Harnacke; and
sister-in-law, Bonnie Guengerich.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her
brothers, Gerald, Richard, and Joseph; and her
favorite cats, Piglet and Marbles. |
Sharon’s pride and joy
were her grandchildren; going to their games and
activities. She often joked about loving her
grandkids more than her own children. She was an
excellent seamstress and made many of her children’s
clothing while they were growing up. Sharon was a 4H
leader and had a passion for crochet; making every
grandchild a blanket including all the
great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for
Sharon will take place at 11:00am on Friday, August
21, 2026, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, IL. Visitation will take place prior to the
service from 10:00-10:45am also at the funeral home.
A private family burial will take place after the
services in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Memorial
donations may be made in Sharon’s name to The
Alzheimer’s Association.
