Obituary
Billy J. Short, 72, of Lincoln passed
away on Monday, Jul21, 2025 at his home in Lincoln.
A Celebration of Billy’s life will be held at a
later date.
Billy James Short was born on October 21, 1952 in
Lincoln the son of James Russell and Joyce Marie
(Johnson) Short. He was united in marriage to Debra
Nelson on November 13, 2015. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: one daughter:
Tiffany (Brent) Winebrinner, one son: Josh (Chrissy)
Short. Seven grandchildren: Mallory, Preston and
Taylor Short, Kaylee, Jett, Peyton and Austin
Winebrinner. One sister: Zelma Martin Barnard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Billy retired from the Lincoln Development Center
after 35 years of service. He also trained horses
and farmed. |
His hobbies included hunting,
fishing, bowling and playing pool. He and his wife
enjoyed traveling in the recreation vehicle for many
years.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan
County.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
