Obituary

Pamela D. “Pam” Morstatter, 69, of Lincoln, IL, formerly of Pana, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.

Pam was born January 23, 1956, in Alabaster, AL, the daughter of Flavers “F.C.” Hall and Margaret (Vernon) Allen.

Pam is survived by her children, James “J.R.” Pritts, Chelsey (Elijah Chapman) Morstatter, and Kylee Morstatter; grandson, Theodore “Teddy” Chapman; two sisters, Cyndi (Lloyd) Nichols and Lucille (Rob) Swope; her pup and loyal companion, Bella; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, “Mama Hazel” Hall; sister, Sheila; first husband, Bob Pritts; her uncle, Sonny Vernon; and several other aunts and uncles.

Pam enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to the casinos, playing rook, and singing her favorite oldies. She liked to watch True Crime videos on YouTube. Most of all, Pam loved her family, especially her grandson, “Teddy Bear”.

The family is grateful that Pam was able to hang on just long enough to see her daughter get married the day before she passed.

A graveside service for Pam will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 18, 2025, at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made in Pam’s name to her family to help with expenses (in ℅ of Chelsey Morstatter). Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
