[July 08, 2026]  CHESTNUT - Clarence D. “Clancy” Stoll, 88, of Chestnut, IL, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation:  Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9 - 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, IL.

Service:  Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the church.

Obituary

Clarence D. “Clancy” Stoll, 88, of Chestnut, IL, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Clancy was born December 7, 1937, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Carl and Edna (Koenig) Stoll. He married Marilyn Boyd on August 5, 1972. She survives.

Clancy is also survived by his sons, Todd (Laurie) Stoll and Darin (Jennifer) Stoll; and grandchildren; Blake, Kaylee, Brooke, Emily, Hannah, and Luke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charlie Stoll.

Clancy farmed on the family farm in rural Chestnut for his entire life. He also sold seed corn for over 35 years for Golden Harvest Seed Company. Clancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family (especially his grandkids).
 

Funeral services for Clancy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, IL. Visitation will take place two hours prior from 9:00 - 11:00 am, also at the church. Burial will follow the service at Laenna Cemetery in Chestnut. Memorials may be made in Clancy’s name to the Alzheimer's Association or Zion Lutheran Church of Chestnut. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski.
