[June 18, 2025]  LINCOLN -  Dwight Wayne Reed, 70, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation: Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Service: Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Dwight Wayne Reed, 70, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home with funeral services at 3PM. Masonic rites will be performed right before services at 3 p.m. Cremation rites will them be accorded.

Dwight was born February 17, 1955, in Chicago, IL., the son of Ulysses Grant Reed Sr. and Lena Catherine (Fletcher). He married Debi (Harlow) on March 5, 1994.

Dwight was a man of faith. He was active in and involved with wrestling in Lincoln for more than 40 years, mentoring youth. He was a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210.

 

Survivors include his wife, Debi Reed; children: Tim Rivera, Shelley Harlow, Jeanna (Jaush) Sullivan, Adam Reed, Jared Reed, Olivia Reed, and Javaris Thomas; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren sisters Rochelle Childs and Wendy Weatherspoon and brothers Ulysses Grant Reed Jr. and Darnell Reed. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Debbie Reed and will be accepted at the funeral home
