[June 02, 2026]  MT. PULASKI - Carol D. Manes, 93, of Mt. Pulaski, IL., passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Goldwater Care in Clinton.

Visitation:  Saturday, June 6, from 10 - 11 a.m. 2026, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in Mt. Pulaski.

Service:  Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Carol D. Manes, 93, of Mt. Pulaski, IL., passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Goldwater Care in Clinton.

Carol was born on May 3, 1932, in Rockford, IL., the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Holby) Warner. She married Harry E. "Bud” Manes on April 15, 1954.

Carol is survived by her four children, Tanya Elaine Servais, Kimberly Diane Demkovich, Steven Eugene (Janice) Manes, and Stanley Robert (Andrea) Manes. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Samantha Servais, Michael Servais, Erica Inman, James R. Demkovich III, and Madison Manes: 3 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Helen Rowe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Warner; and one sister, Roberta Warner.

Carol worked as an interior design specialist at Stahl’s Furniture in Mt. Pulaski for many years before retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pulaski, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 447 of Mt. Pulaski. Carol was very active at the Tomlinson Recreation Center in Mt. Pulaski for many years where she was the swim instructor for the grade school kids and also taught swim lessons and water safety instruction.

Most of all, Carol enjoyed her white wine and spending time with friends and family. Carol could usually be found at the Brickyard on Friday nights with the former Bridge Club group.

A Memorial Service for Carol will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in Mt. Pulaski. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (from 10:00 to 11:00 am) also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery following the memorial service. A luncheon and fellowship time will immediately follow the burial at the American Legion Post # 447 in Mt. Pulaski. Memorials may be made in Carol’s memory to either the American Legion Post # 447 of Mt. Pulaski or to the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pulaski.
