- Steven Schaub, 74, of Gibson City, IL, formerly of
New Holland, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home.

Obituary
Steven Schaub, 74, of Gibson City,
IL, formerly of New Holland, passed away on Friday,
May 23, 2025, at his home.
Steve was born on July 16, 1950, in Springfield, IL,
the son of Wilbur and Frances (Koehne) Schaub. He
married Gloria Jean Ramlow in June of 1989. She
survives.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Devon Schaub; his
step-children, Tara Aldrich, Michael (Becky) Eimer,
and Christina (Greg) Koch; his six grandchildren;
his sisters, Pamela Schaub and Susan Lowe; his
brothers, Rick (Karen) Schaub and Larry (Paula)

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his
granddaughter.

Steve enjoyed being outdoors,
especially hunting and fishing. He was a fan of the
National Hot Rod Association and NASCAR, and loved
watching John Wayne movies. Steve worked for Harold
Goodman Excavating, Mitsubishi, MUTI, Cox Transfer
and Kevin Buhs Company.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a
later date. Memorials may be made in Steve’s name to
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Cremation
rites have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
