[April 28, 2026]  MCLEAN - McLean, IL – Leo “Gus” A. Canfield, III, 80, of McLean, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Service:  Graveside Memorial Services for Gus will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at McLean Cemetery.

McLean, IL – Leo “Gus” A. Canfield, III, 80, of McLean, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Graveside Memorial Services for Gus will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at McLean Cemetery. Mr. Tony Billingsley will officiate.

Leo A. Canfield, III, was born February 14, 1946, in Bloomington, the son of Leo A. and Mary Nell Twomey Canfield, II. He was united in marriage to Linda S. Hoskins on May 10, 1990. She survives.

Gus is also survived by three step-sons, Scott (Kellie) Larson, Craig Larson, and Jay (Kimberly) Larson; and six grandchildren: Noah Larson, Emma Larson, Ben Larson, Joey Larson, Miles Larson, and Audrey Larson.

Gus was a 1964 graduate of McLean-Waynesville High School and attended Lincoln College. He served in the Illinois National Guard.

Gus worked in auto claims for State Farm Insurance for thirty years. He was a member of the McLean Burger-Benedict American Legion and enjoyed collected Ford memorabilia.
