- Ronald L. Ealy, 86, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on
Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Castle Manor.

Obituary
Ronald L. Ealy, 86, of Lincoln, IL,
passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Castle
Manor.
Ron was born October 29, 1938, in Peoria, IL, the
son of Fred and Florence (Nichols) Ealy. He married
Sharon Overbey on September 15, 1978, in Lincoln,
IL. She preceded him in death in 2013.
Ron is survived by his sons, Paul (Brenda) Goodwin,
Rodney (Ruby) Goodwin, and Travis Goodwin;
daughters, Angel Goodwin and Kelly (Roscoe) Embery;
fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Sharon; one brother; and six sisters. Ron was the
last of his immediate family.

Ron proudly served in the United
States Air Force from 1956-1960. He was a member of
First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Most of all, Ron
enjoyed being outdoors spending time with his family
and loved ones.
Funeral services for Ron will be held
at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the
service from 10:00 - 11:00 am also at the funeral
home. Burial will follow the service at Elkhart
Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded
by the American Legion Post #263. Memorials may be
made in Ron’s name to the Disabled American Veterans
(DAV) or The Wounded Warrior Project.
