Obituary
Peggy Boyd, 91, of
Lincoln, IL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on
Monday, March 23, 2026, at Springfield Memorial
Hospital.
Peggy was born on September 4, 1934, to Luella L.
(Butler) and William H. Anderson in Peoria, IL. She
lived a life centered on faith, family, and quiet
devotion to those she loved.
On her journey through life, Peggy was blessed with
a marriage of 65 years to her beloved husband,
Ronald Boyd. Together they built a strong and loving
family. She is survived by her husband, Ronald;
children, Pam Boyd (Phil Mentgen), Paula (Jim)
Bishop, and Rod (Donna) Boyd; her cherished
grandchildren, Colin, Alex, Andrew, Conner, Elyse,
Ryan, and Emma; and her treasured
great-grandchildren, Laken, Boyd, Maisie, Tate,
Nell, Mason, Hailey, Rav, and Cooper; and her
sisters, JoAnn Wooten and Linda Ligato.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda;
her parents, Luella and William Anderson; and
brothers, Jack, Bob, and Bill Anderson.
A devoted follower of Christ, Peggy attended Lincoln
Bible Institute and is a member of the Lincoln
Christian Church. Her faith gave her extraordinary
strength and guided her throughout life. She began
her working years at Stetson China Factory in
Lincoln and later worked at Frank’s Food Fair, where
she met the love of her life, Ron. While Peggy held
various positions with local businesses over the
years and dedicated 27 years to Lincoln Community
High School, where she retired as secretary to the
Athletic Director, her most meaningful role was that
of wife, mother, and grandmother.

A private and gentle
soul, Peggy found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
She loved reading, tending to her flowers, and her
time through volunteer work. Above all, her faith
and family were her greatest priorities.
Peggy’s legacy is one
of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love.
Her life reflected her devotion to her Savior, Jesus
Christ, and the family she cherished so dearly. She
will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all
who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Peggy’s
name to either Lincoln Christian Church Beacon Class
or Little Galilee Christian Camp in Clinton, IL.
A private family service will be held on Saturday,
March 28, 2026. Family and friends are invited to a
