Obituary
Marilyn J. Conley, 84,
of Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Conley will be held on
Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Jefferson Street Christian Church with Mr. Michael
Mallick and Mr. henry Johnson officiating.
Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until time
of the service at Jefferson Christian Church.
Burial will be at a later date at Zion Cemetery in
Lincoln.
Marilyn Jean Scales was born at the St. Clara's
Hospital in Lincoln on December 19, 1941 the
daughter of Iver Walter and Augusta E. Lolling
Scales. She was united in marriage to William H.
"Bill" Conley on September 17, 1960. He preceded her
in death on March 22, 2023.
Marilyn is survived by her sons: Rod (Shelly) Conley
and Doug Conley. Four grandchildren: Brian (Coralee)
Stoltzenburg, Amber (Ryan) Eads, Cory Stoltzenburg,
Devan (Taylor) Duncheon. Seven great grandchildren:
Bryson (Samatha Woolard) Eads, Tearney (Andrew
Carder) Eads, Seth Evans, Emma (Noah Turley)
Stoltzenburg, Kylee Eads, Olivia Stoltzenburg Kate
Stoltzenburg. Great great grandchildren: Paizley,
Brynlee, Everleigh, Blayke and baby boy Carder on
the way. One brother: Jim Scales |
She was preceded in
death by her parents and husband, one brother: Roger
Scales, one sister: Betty Walker.
Marilyn graduated from
the Hartsburg- Emden High School in 1959. She was
employed at Lehn and Fink for many years.
She was a member of the Jefferson Street Christian
Church. Her hobbies included quilting , sewing and
taking long rides.
Memorials may be made to the Jefferson Street
Christian Church.
Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with
funeral arrangements.
