Susan Johnson, 66, of
Spaulding, IL, passed away on Monday, February 16,
2026, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
Susan was born October 8, 1959, in Fort Rucker, AL,
the daughter of Robert C. and Sue C. (Short) Van
Horn.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Sara (Nathan)
Shaughnessy; son, Justin A. Reynolds; four
grandchildren, Alex, Izabelle, Ethan, and Carter;
and two siblings, Kathy Van Horn and Kenny Purifoy.

She was preceded in
death by her parents and brother, John Purifoy.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
