Obituary
Tony E. Liechty,
41, of Lincoln, passed away suddenly at his home on
January 24, 2026.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, February 3,
2026, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Tony was born February 26, 1984, in Lincon, IL., the
son of Everett J. Miller and Belinda Liechty. He
graduated from Lincoln Community High School in
2002. Tony was employed at IGA for more than 20
years. He competed in basketball and track with
Special Olympics. He enjoyed hot wheels, Nascar,
Indy cars, and open wheel racing. He collected cards
and knives. Tony enjoyed spending time with his
nieces and nephews and was an animal lover.
Survivors include his brothers Tim Mandrell (Kayle
Eberle) and Braxton Liechty (Mary Kate Thornton);
nieces and nephews Carl Liechty, Jasmin Liechty,
Azariah Mandrell, Cooper Campbell, and Aaliyah
Mandrell. Also surviving are his beloved cats Socks
and Misty. |
He was preceded in
death by his grandparents, his parents, and his
nephew Emmett Liechty.
Memorial donations may be made to Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home to assist the family with
funeral expenses.
