Obituary
Lee A. Reiners, 58,
of Emden, passed away Friday, January 23 2026, at
OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria
following a car accident on January 6, 2026.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will
be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at
St. Peters Lutheran Church in Emden. A memorial
service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January
31, 2026, also at the church with Nathan Chitwood
and John Cross officiating. Lunch will follow and
burial will be at a later date.
Lee was born August 1, 1967, in Lincoln, IL., the
son of Cleo and Ruth (Culleton) Reiners. He married
Angela (Boatman) on June 28, 2003. Lee worked for
Caterpillar and subsidiaries since 1990. He also
owned and operated Reiners Tree and Lumber Milling
Service for the past 16 years. Lee was an amateur
arborist. His home had its own arboretum, and he
volunteered a great deal of time to the Starhill
Forest Arboretum in Petersburg. He had a giving
spirit which included him donating over 12 gallons
of blood to the American Red Cross and being a donor
through Gift of Hope. Lee also enjoyed live music
and going to concerts with family and friends.

Survivors include his
wife Angela Reiners, his children: Emily (Kevin)
Atienza, Elizabeth Reiners, and Jesse Reiners
(Jessica Welkinson); grandchildren Jaxson McMullen
and Zachary Atienza; siblings: Owen Reiners, Becky
Reiners Adams, Carl Reiners, Richard Reiners, Betty
Jo Lessen (Brad), and Carrie Nowatney; the mother of
his children Michelle Allison; father and mother in
law Paul and Sunny Boatman; sister in law Ryan
Bradford, sister in law Rachelle Anness ( Kent); and
several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family
members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson
Zachary Braddy, brothers Gary Reiners and Tom
Reiners, sister Diane Walsh, mother-in-law Mary
Boatman, and in laws Red and Rosita Jenkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
to Starhill Forest Arboretum at 12000 Boy Scout
