A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January
10th, from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Elks Club.
Obituary
Bob was born on April
12, 1959 in Belleville, IL to Robert F. and Norma
Jean (Van Fossan) Olson. He attended Lincoln
Community High School and later the University of
Illinois, where he earned a degree in business. Bob
dedicated 30 years of service to the State of
Illinois, working as a certified bank examiner.
On October 20, 1995, Bob married Dianne (Dee) Duty
Olson. Together, they shared a loving life and were
blessed with one daughter, Madeline Carey Olson. Bob
enjoyed coin collecting and traveling, especially
his trips to London and Paris. He had a deep passion
for history, particularly that of Elkhart,
Broadwell, and Lincoln, Illinois.
Above all, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He
especially cherished the time he spent with his
siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is
survived by his wife, Dee Olson; his daughter,
Madeline Olson; and his siblings, Nancy (Kevin)
Courtwright, Susan (Bryan) Johnston, James (Ann)
Olson, and Sandra Tiffany.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m.
Saturday, January 10th, at the Lincoln Elks Club.
