- Roger Mason, 76, of Latham passed away on Sunday, December 21,
2025, at The ARC at Hickory Point in Forsyth, IL.

Obituary
Roger Mason, 76, of
Latham passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at
The ARC at Hickory Point in Forsyth, IL.
Roger was born on October 6, 1949, in Lincoln, IL,
the son of James and Frances (Erlenbush) Mason. He
married Lana Kraus on October 12, 1985, in Decatur,
IL. She survives.
Roger is also survived by his sons, Shanon (April)
Mason and Christopher Mason; stepsons, Roy Younker,
Randy Younker, and Scottie (Jodi) O’Laughlin; six
grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents. |
Roger proudly served
his country with the US Marines; he loved country
music and was a welder with Caterpillar for many
years.
Services for Roger will be held at 10:00 am on
Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski, IL. Burial will follow
the services at Steenbergen Cemetery, where full
military rites will be accorded. Memorial donations
may be made in Roger’s name to the Humane Society of
Logan County.
