Donor support makes early detection possible through LMH Mammogram
Mondays program

LINCOLN – Donor support to the Lincoln Memorial Foundation
enabled Lincoln Memorial Hospital (LMH) to provide lifesaving breast
cancer screenings for eligible women throughout Logan County during
Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
LMH conducted a total of 366 mammograms with 29 free mammograms provided
through the Mammogram Mondays program – fully funded by the Lincoln
Memorial Foundation through generous donor support. These screenings
provided access to essential care for uninsured and underinsured
patients who otherwise may not have been able to afford it.
Breast cancer was detected in four patients, highlighting the vital role
early detection plays in savings lives.
“Mammogram Mondays are one of the most impactful ways our Foundation
donors make a difference,” said Sarah Helm, director of the Lincoln
Memorial Foundation. “Their generosity ensures that every woman in Logan
County has access to this essential screening, regardless of financial
situation.”
Mammogram Mondays reflect LMH’s ongoing commitment to improving
community health through preventive care. Foundation funding helps the
hospital offer free or reduced-cost mammograms for uninsured or
underinsured women each year.
