The
soup list includes local specialties Stuffed Pepper Soup from Do
Drop In Café, French Onion soup from Guzzardo’s, and Cheesy Ham
& Potato from Dovetail Inn, as well as a handful of varieties
made by Arlee board members: John's legendary Chili, Mary's
Cheesy Broccoli, Paula's famous Chicken Noodle, Carol's
comforting Cream of Chicken with Rice, and Vegan Veggie. A
donation is requested for admission, and guests are welcome to
stay and eat as much as they'd like, with slightly smaller
portions available for "flights" to sample, as well as larger
bowls. Carryout containers will also be available for $5 each.
The event will run from 11 am – 2 pm on Sunday, November 2. Each
meal includes soup, crackers and a dessert—guest's choice, but
options will include several homemade treats as well as Subway's
mouth-watering cookies. Guests who attended their concert
earlier this month will be delighted to hear the
Bloomington-based jazz group "The Sweet Nothings" will provide
music during this event as well.
