Arlee Theater Celebrates turning 90 with Red Carpet Gala

[September 19, 2026]  To celebrate 90 years of movies, the Arlee will be hosting a gala on Saturday, October 17. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this “formal attire optional” event. When guests arrive, they’ll be able to walk the red carpet and pose for photos underneath the Arlee’s iconic marquee, then head inside for light hors d’oeuvres, sparkling mocktails, several spectacular raffles, and a showing of the 1936 romantic comedy “Libeled Lady” starring Jean Harlow, William Powell, Myrna Loy, and Spencer Tracy.

Bringing balance to the glitz and glamour of the evening, there will be a handful of attention-grabbing gift baskets and baked goods available to win via raffles. Every attendee to the event will also be entered into a special raffle, where they could win an overnight stay at Three Pines in Petersburg, as well as a chocolate & wine gift basket and a few other surprise goodies. Additional entries in this particular raffle, as well as the others that night, will be available for sale during the event from 6-7pm, with the raffles being drawn at 7pm and the movie to follow.

Funds raised at this gala will go toward continuing the Arlee’s restoration process, as well as offsetting rising costs to help keep guest prices low. Tickets to the gala are now available at the Arlee as well as through the Arlee’s website. Tickets are $35 each, or two for $60.
