Where They Stand

Faith Berger: Candidate for Logan County Board District 4

[October 30, 2026]

About Me:

I've lived and/or worked in Logan county for 18 years. In Jr. High/HS I enjoyed being in the traveling choir at Lincoln Christian Church. I worked at Steak N Shake all through high school and college, and that's where I met my husband Jared. I went to Heartland, then ISU for a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Anthropology, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Public Health at UIS. I've worked full-time for Memorial Health since 2017 in various positions, and now I'm a part of the team creating the Electronic Health Record for SIU & Memorial. Jared and I have a 3 year old son and 2 elderly cats whom we love to spoil.

Why I’m Running:

I'm running for County Board because I know it takes regular people to make meaningful change at a local level to improve our lives. I want our community and world to be better for my son and his generation. I care about our community, and want the best for everyone in it. I value collaboration and I know that when everyone has a voice and we all work together, we all succeed.

My Priorities:

Community Collaboration-
Our local government can't meet the needs of the people if they can't work together. I will build cooperation between the county and city offices as well as the community to make our County Board more functional and effective for everyone.

Accountability and Transparency-
I’m dedicated to clear communication and honest decision‑making. I will work to make residents feel informed, respected and heard—because strong communities are built with trust.

Public Safety-
My background in healthcare and safety planning has prepared me to handle any situation thoughtfully and effectively. I’m committed to bringing that steadfast leadership to our community.
