It was a chilly, rainy evening as
ghosts and goblins got an early start on their Halloween costumes at
one of the season's first trunk-or-treat events. On Friday evening,
several trunks were lined up in the Oasis parking lot to provide
treats and other Halloween fun. Arcadia handed out candy, and their
bus was decorated as a giant gumball machine, with balloons as the
giant gumballs. Others decked out their trunks with spooky themes as
they passed out candy and other goodies. One trunk was handing out
Wendy’s Minion Monsters. Brew 66 was on hand to serve their
fan-favorite beverages.
Superheroes and princesses, Disney characters, birds, and spooky
characters lined up near the Oasis building to play games, color
Halloween coloring sheets, and receive a Halloween solar light; they
had two choices: one with a jack-o'-lantern or a spiderweb. About
halfway through the event, as the sun set, the sky opened, and it
began to rain on the Halloween fun, but some arrived and braved the
rain to get a piece of candy and spooky prizes.
