game, ring toss game and the ever popular Bingo game.
A few Sons of the American Legion were selling gun raffle tickets,
half hog raffle tickets and 50/50 drawing tickets.

On another corner of the street,
other Sons of the American Legion members ran a food stand selling
corn dogs, fries and drinks.

The Dovetail Inn had special menu
items such as a double smash burger, twin dogs, three chicken

cream flavors.

Musical entertainment was provided
by the Matt Miller Band, who plays a blend of country music,
Southern rock and honky tonk.
As the evening wore on, many people appeared to be enjoying the
small town life visiting with longtime friends they rarely see.
Longtime Emden resident Roberta Rademaker said she loves seeing all
the babies at homecoming as she sits and visits with people.
Vintage Village and Gift Shop owner Becky Adams recently moved back
to Emden after many years away and it was the first homecoming she
had been to in 35 years. Adams said it is still a nice gathering and
fun to meet up with people she had not seen for years.
It was a great night to be out enjoying food, fun and time with
friends.
The fun continued Saturday with a homecoming parade, a wiffleball
tournament, kiddie tractor pull and evening activities that included
musical entertainment by the band Stereotypical.
