On Saturday, May 17th, the Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital (ALMH) hosted its first farmer’s market of
the season. Beside being the first one of 2025, this market was
notable for one other key reason: this is the ALMH’s tenth year
hosting the market.
Many people showed up for the market throughout the morning. The
Fairgrounds parking lot was stuffed with cars. The building was
shoulder to shoulder in some areas. In addition to the large number
of people, there was also a large number of vendors, some new and
many returning.
Some of the returning vendors included Elkhart Hill Vinyard, Itty
Bitty Microgreens, and War Food Farm. One of the new vendors was
Bold Blends, which was both a new to the market and new as a
business.

MKS was making and selling fresh
food right next to an area where kids could play. Just next to them
were two additional places, one where kids could have their face
painted and one where they could get balloon animals.
Overall, the market was a roaring success and set the bar high for
the other markets going forward this season.
