Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor:

The Salvation Army Lincoln 360 Life Center is grateful for the ongoing support of Logan and Mason County churches, volunteers, business sponsors and donors who contributed to the success of its most recent Red Kettle campaign. They saw increases in both financial donations and the number of children who received Angel Tree gifts. In donations, they received $35,582.00 and they helped 132 children with Christmas gifts.

In 2024 the Salvation Army Lincoln 360 Life Center is poised to help even more people with utility, rent and food assistance, along with emergency transitional housing for Logan County's unsheltered and at-risk population. Gratitude goes out to ME Realty of Lincoln and Chris Coyne State Farm Agent for their generous SPONSORSHIPS.
