Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville

Obituary
Jimmie H. Barr, 82, of
Waynesville, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026,
at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Graveside Services for Mr. Barr will be held on
Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville with grandson Zach
Craig officiating. Military Rites will be accorded
by the Waynesville American Legion Post #1189.
No visitation is scheduled. Cremation Rites have
been accorded.
A Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will be held at the
Waynesville American Legion Post #1189 immediately
following the graveside services with a beer cheer
scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Jimmie served in the United States Marines Corp.,
United States Army, and the Illinois National Guard.
He was employed at Contractor's Ready Mix as a
driver and later worked at the McLean Cemetery for
15 years, along with working for various farmers in
the McLean and Waynesville area.
Jimmie H. Barr was
born on October 17, 1943, in Bloomington, the son of
Clifford R. and Mandy Delmar Osborne Barr. He was
united in marriage to Susan Diana Rich on July 11,
1992. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2025. |

Surviving are his
children: Tina Barr, Jimmie (Leigh) Barr, Jr., John
(Alisha) Barr, Kimberly (David) West, Tammy Bode,
and Misty Gordon; twenty grandchildren: Rondy Craig,
Zachary Craig, Cody Ruff, Abbi Bode, Skyler Grill,
Josh Gordon, Ashton Griffin, Brody Snyder, Aaron
Sparks, Zach Barr, Landen Barr, Ryker Barr, Carly
Barr, Isaiah Barr, Keagan Barr, Alex Barr, Phillip
Barr, Kieryn Snyder, Kamdyn Snyder, and Olivia Sue
Barr; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Beyond The Label, 2454 NE
Dixie Highway, Jenson Beach Florida.
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of
