New Continuing Education classes at Heartland Community College Lincoln

Lincoln, IL – Heartland Community College Lincoln is now enrolling students in non-credit personal enrichment courses, including budget planning and ornament making.

Budgeting Blueprint: Plan, Track, & Grow will be offered on Thursday, September 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Class participants will learn how to transform their financial habits by embracing budgeting skills. Principles being taught include learning to track spending, harnessing the power of budgeting software (or keeping it simple), and unlocking the value of cash flow within a customizable, adaptable spending plan. Additionally, participants will discover how to begin growing their retirement funds, set clear financial goals, and stay in control of their financial futures. The cost of this one-time course is $25 with an enrollment deadline of September 14.

The second class offered in Lincoln this fall is Alcohol Ink Keepsake Ornaments on Tuesday, November 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In the class, participants will personalize their holiday decorations by embellishing unique glass ornaments. Techniques will be taught for working with bright alcohol inks to add shimmer and individuality to the designs. Participants will complete the class with at least two vibrant ornaments for keeping or gifting. The cost of this one-time course is $25 plus a $10 supply fee paid in cash to the instructor the evening of class. The enrollment deadline is November 13.
